Dr. Nimisha Trivedi

Dr. Nimisha Trivedi is a family physician who has more than 20 years of experience helping patients manage their health needs. She has been in private practice since 2004 when she opened Locust Grove Family Medicine to provide more local options for individuals seeking medical treatment in Locust Grove, GA. In order to help more people in more areas, she and her staff opened Reliance Family Care in nearby McDonough, GA in 2007.

While most doctors focus on treating symptoms, Dr. Trivedi makes it her mission to treat the patient. This means she takes the time to listen and understand not only your condition but how it affects you both physically and emotionally. Whether you are struggling with sniffles or a more serious illness, she is serious about her commitment to helping you.

Dr. Trivedi earned her bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from B.J. Medical College in Gujarat, India. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in family practice at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Georgia. During her residency, she presented a number of seminar presentations focused on a wide range of health topics, from heart failure and asthma to internet addiction in adolescents.

In addition to being a member of the American Medical Association, Dr. Trivedi is involved with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. She is also ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) and PALS (pediatric advanced life support) certified.

Dr. Trivedi's expertise and dedication garnered recognition from the Mercer University School of Medicine, which named her Outstanding Resident of the Year in 2003. She also earned the school's Most Dedicated Resident Award in the same year.

Dr. Trivedi has been happily married for more than 15 years to her husband, Jay. They have two beautiful children together: a daughter, Dhruti, born in 2001, and a son, Sahil, born in 2005. She enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time with her family. She is fluent in four languages, including English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Spanish.
